Borderless is a structured, compliant and transparent investment infrastructure that provides tools for the African diaspora to invest collectively in Africa.
Want to launch an investment collective on Borderless? Here’s exactly how it works.
Step 1: Submit the “Start a Collective” Form
Before anything is created on the platform, you’ll need to fill out the Start a Collective form on the Borderless website at www.onborderless.com
In this form, you’ll provide:
Details about your collective.
Your investment focus (real estate, startups, etc.)
Information about how you plan to structure it.
Contact details
This helps us understand what you're building and whether it aligns with platform standards.

Step 2: 15-Minute Discovery Call (Vetting & Alignment)
After submitting the form, you’ll be invited to a short 1:1 discovery call with us.
This is a vetting and alignment call to:
Understand the documents and legal structure you already have.
Clarify compliance requirements.
Prevent fraud or misrepresentation.
Ensure your collective meets platform compliance standards.
Step 3: Submit Required Documents
After the call, you’ll receive a list of required documents based on your structure.
These may include:
Legal registration documents.
Identification details.
Structural agreements.
Compliance paperwork.
Once submitted and reviewed, the onboarding process moves forward.
This step ensures your collective is legally and structurally sound.

Step 4: Collective Created on the Platform
Once your documents are reviewed and approved, you can either create your collective or we create it for you on the Borderless platform. The choice is yours.
You’ll receive managers access to your dedicated collective dashboard.
Now you can:
Invite members.
Approve members requests.
Share deals and opportunities.
Manage your collective’s investment activities.
Step 5: Invite Members
With your investment collective live, you can:
Send direct invitations.
Share your unique invite link publicly.
Review and approve potential members.

Step 6: Create Investment Opportunities
On your dashboard:
Click “Create a New Opportunity”
Then add opportunity details, set funding targets, upload necessary documentation, define investment terms.
Step 7: Manage and Scale Your Collective
Once live, you can:
Monitor investments in real time.
Track progress toward funding goals.
Launch additional opportunities
Everything is transparent and recorded on your dashboard. Only you can see the full details. Members can only view their own investments.
Start Your Application
If you’re ready to build a structured diaspora investment collective, start now.
Submit your application at www.onborderless.com
After review, you’ll be invited for a discovery call.
